Booty Call: Statute of Limitations

In what universe is it OK to call my cell phone at 1:00 in the morning on a Friday night, Mr. HotGuyIMetAtaPartySIXyearsAgo?
And the voice mail you left me sounded like you thought it was 1:00 pm. "Hi, it's K. I like your voice mail, it sounds so professional! Anyway, it's K." No last name, no content. It took me several minutes to realize who it was.
We haven't spoken in years. We spent a few hours together a long time ago, we did not have sex, and we've never seen each other since. You sent me an email a week ago asking if I would be interested in getting together sometime. I said, 'sure, give me a call'.
What did you think would happen when you called me in the middle of the night?
"Oh-absolutely! I'd love to get out of bed right now, get dressed, get in my car and come meet you at your house. (Because clearly the bars are almost closed, right?) Of course I'd just love the opportunity to have cheap, meaningless sex with a man I don't know and barely remember! Just give me 20 minutes, I'll be right there..."
You know, I've never wanted to become one of those bitter man-haters. But after decades of dealing with shit like this, it's really hard.

A few months ago, I figured out a way to make my phone turn itself off between the hours of 11 and 6. With the phone off, I not only don't get the calls, I don't have a list of "missed calls." It's a little bit perfect 'cause those calls just tick me off.
Of course, you got a voice mail; I've got nothing on that.
Oh man. I got a text similar to that a few weeks ago... as annoying as it is, it's also very AWKWARD when your bf is also woken up by the noise and is all, "Who the hell is calling you at this hour?"
Uhhhhh... a bad decision from the past?
9:30 PM should be the limit for all phone calls, regardless. I surely hope you chose not to answer that call.
I feel like the enemy simply based on my gender alone but men can be real idiots and that is simply that. I can only hope that your cell phone didn't wake you up, although I am guessing that it did.
Keep the faith.
Does he live in a different time zone?? That's the only way I could imagine this behavior being tolerable. (And even then, not really.)
Well, I must be one rude dog!
