The Hottest Women in America- who knew?

Just as a review...in the last few months I have been: on beaches in Valencia and Sitges, Spain, in the nightclubs of Barcelona, in casinos in Vegas, on the streets of Manhattan, in the stores and on the shores of Southern California, at a resort in Scottsdale, in a wine bar in Houston, and in some really trendy restaurants in Atlanta. And, of course, in various places in DC.

So imagine my surprise when this past weekend in downtown Chicago, I witnessed a steady, never-ending flow of attractive, fit, stylish, classy young women. Running in workout gear, dining in restaurants, having coffee with friends, shopping at the grocery store. And it wasn't my imagination- my travel partner agreed. Very hot. Women. Everywhere. Hotter than any one place that I have visited this year.

Who knew?

I just had to give a shout out to these mid-western young women, because I have had occasion to complain about American's lack of style, and lack of class. I have been a bit concerned about fashion (or lack thereof) these past several years. These young women renewed my faith that the classic beauty of bygone eras could be (and seems to be) returning.

Oh, and by the way, in case you are wondering- where are the hottest guys? St. Louis, MO. Go figure.

People who live on the coasts have so many preconceived ideas about the midwest. I grew up in Kansas City, a city full of fountains, art galleries, a great music scene, and lovely looking humans.

The only thing that really sucks about midwestern cities is the weather. The people, the cultural opportunities, the restaurants, it's all just as good as anything on the coasts.

I think that there are beautiful people everywhere, but it takes a little bit of time to find them. :)

Thanks for giving Midwesterners their long-deserved due - having lived in South Dakota, Nebraska and Colorado, I can attest to the fact that there are stylish people in all three places (albeit more casually dressed than in Washington). Great blog, by the way
